This council of FPC has a multitude of responsibilities. Our mission is three-fold. We want to make visitors feel welcome and informed. We want to make sure our own membership is well-cared for and answering any needs that they may have. We also serve as an activities planner for various events that our membership enjoys.
Currently, the council is "shepherding" our congregation. We have divided the membership among the various council members. Our plan is to try to contact members and make certain of their well-being. We are also interested in hearing any concerns that they may have. A very important, large and complex task looms on this horizon.
We are also active in planning our activities calendar going forward. Some future events may be a progressive dinner, retirees' luncheons, hockey game night out, ice skating party, Strawberry Sunday, etc. The list is endless and is always open to suggestion.
The Member Care Council meets monthly, usually the second Tuesday of the month at 5:15 p.m. Our current membership is approximately ten members, but we would love to have interested people join us. If you are looking for a fun, congenial and active group, please consider the Member Care Council.
